25 January 1999

Dear Sirs,

In April 1998, the Adelaide company Airtech installed a Pioneer PS 14E at my residence. On the 3rd January this year, the unit failed: it proved that the compressor had seized up.

All attempts to get a replacement compressor under warranty have so far failed. I spoke to Barry Machin of Airtech this morning, who told me that he had spoken to somebody at Pioneer this morning, but was not able to ascertain even whether Pioneer were prepared to supply a replacement.

I consider the current state of affairs untenable and a breach of your warranty conditions. I also find it out of keeping with a company who advertises better quality than any competitor. The very fact that a compressor should fail after only eight months should have you asking questions, not remaining silent. Please ensure that a replacement pump is sent to Airtech immediately. If you find reasons why this should not be possible, please contact me at (08) 8388 8250.

I am sending a copy of this fax to Airtech and your SA agent, Air Management.

Sincerely,

Greg Lehey
