You are correct in that the bank transfer was initiated because at the time of purchase you were making a payment in AUD but had no available balance in Australian Dollars. However, this should not have limited your ability to select a different funding option. If your account had been negative in AUD, then the only option would have been to add funds by bank, as a negative balance generally is not allowed to be recovered via credit card. This was not the case in this instance. I will forward this information to our technical department for further review.
