In March 1999 we were given a horse, Pebbles, a 22 year old Haflinger/Thoroughbred cross mare. There's still some fire left in her, but unfortunately she had an accident with a gate—not once, but twice. Her leg was in quite a bad way when she arrived, so we called in the vet, who decided to cut off the extra “proud” flesh. Here are some photos, not for the weak of stomach.
