On 24 November 2001 I was at an AUUG board meeting, during which we planned the AUUG 2002 conference. During a site inspection, we stumbled by chance on a Linux installfest at Melbourne university. Considering that three of us (Sarah Bolderoff, Conrad Parker and myself) had been personally involved in installfests in other states, and that we didn't even know about it, that was quite a coincidence.
