This is a snapshot of what our garden looked like on 6 September 2008. It's mainly for my personal use to remember where things were, and to measure progress.
This bed is directly in the entrance to the house, on the south side of the driveway. The west part is in the shade of conifers and the “shade tree”.
The north-west corner. At the front are some daffodils, to the right pig-face and bearded irises. In the middle, barely recognizable inside the wire mesh, is a relatively large Grevillea which we brought with us from Wantadilla, and which was almost completely eaten by kangaroos. It seems to be recovering.
To the right in the middle is a Salvia microphylla, then a pink rose which I cut back to the ground. It's now recovering happily.
To the back are Euphorbias and some other things that I'll describe further down.

Further to the left. The shrubs in the foreground are Erysimum cheiri, Fair Lady strain, which I have only recently transplanted. Behind that is a Vibernum and a white Camellia, which is only now blooming for the first time since we've been here.
