This is one of many pages describing plants and animal life
that we have in our garden. In many cases, we don't know what they are. Comments welcome.

This plant grows in the middle of a mess that we're gradually thinning out. So far it
hasn't bloomed, and when I took these photos (26 July 2008) it was the
middle of winter, and it was looking pretty unhappy. The way the branches grow is really
unusual. Laurel Gordon tells me it's a tree dahlia, which I still need to research.
The tree died down completely after the previous photos, and now there are two of them. They
still haven't bloomed. These photos were taken in the summer.
