These are the flowers we had in the garden in mid-summer 2013/2014, mainly on 15 January 2014. They're not all overly pretty, but the purpose of the photos is to record what was in the garden at the time.
This page shows most, but not all, of the flower photos I took: some were repetitive. They're all there on the photo page for 19 January, and there's a description of the more interesting ones in my diary.
There's not much to see this month; these photos were taken after one of the worst heat waves on record, with outside temperatures up to 46.6°. Despite watering, even some relatively drought-tolerant plants suffered badly:

Many flowers, such as Fuchsia and Abutilon, stopped flowering altogether. Surprisingly, a Cyclamen on the verandah is still (just) flowering:

And the potted Hibiscus, now on the north terrace, looks surprisingly healthy:
