These are the flowers we had in the garden in early autumn 2014, on 15 March 2014. They're not all overly pretty, but the purpose of the photos is to record what was in the garden at the time.
The summer was particularly dry and hot, and a lot of the flowers that normally bloom were missing. But now that things are cooling down, some are returning, like this Alstroemeria and a Buddleja that both should have been flowering all summer:

Then there's this strange pink bulb that has popped up all over the place, not just in our garden. Yvonne hates pink, so we don't have anything like that in our garden. It appears to have self-seeded over a wide area:

One thing that I thought would be pretty much indestructible are the Gazanias, but this is the only flower I could find:

Presumably they'll come back when it gets moister.
On the other hand, there are some flowers that we have never had before, the Clematis maximowicziana that we planted a couple of years ago, and a Bromeliad that we picked up somewhere:

Presumably the Clematis will develop many more flowers in years to come, after we've moved away.
Our new Gasteria is also developing a flower spike:

And our Xanthorrhoea quadrangulata (Mount Lofty Grass Tree) continues to grow:

I wonder how much bigger the flower spike will get.
