These are the flowers we had in the garden in early spring 2020, mainly taken on 23 September 2020, on the Vernal equinox. They're not all overly pretty, but the purpose of the photos is to record what was in the garden at the time.
Last year I noted that the bulbs and succulents in the north garden were flowering more profusely than ever before. But this year it's much more again, at least for the bulbs. Most of the daffodils are now gone, but there's still a lot there:
In particular, this year the Irises are flowering profusely:

And some of the Leucadendrons are also doing well:

Only our oldest one, on the island in the driveway, is taking its time:
I should consider replanting it elsewhere.
And the Strelitzia nicolai is preparing another couple of flowers:
Apart from that, things aren't looking overly good. The Schinus molle that we transplanted last spring still doesn't look as if it will survive:
The Paulownia kawakamii is now 5 years old and about 1 m high. It's a clone of the tree on the Wikipedia page, which at the time was about 2½ years old and 5 m high. Here the old tree and what we have now:

The Buddleja × weyeriana cuttings are growing well, and the one I planted last week has now reoriented its leaves to point upwards:
The Robinia that we planted to the south of the property doesn't seem to have survived after all, though of course the Arum lilies are all flowering:
I think the writing's on the wall: no trees, just bulbs and tubers. About the only good news is that the Clematis “Edo Murasaki” seems to be coming back almost as if nothing had happened:
And of course the other clematis, “General Sikorski”, is also coming on well:
The Grevillea bronwenae that we bought a few years back is doing well. It seems that this is its time of year for flowering:
