In February 2009 I lent my 1826 Savary jeune bassoon to Aligi Voltan, and he liked it enough to offer me another instrument in exchange, a Heckel bassoon made in 1891, with the serial number 3620.

The instrument was shipped on 30 April 1891. This page notes:

Early prototype back thumb bridge for C# trill key. This is an early example of a design that would later return as a seldom used factory opinion.
